WIRE-TECH, INC. RECEIVES SUPPLIER MERIT
Company Earns Nadcap Reaccreditation With No Findings
Wire-Tech, Inc. in Tempe, Arizona has once again received the certificate of Nadcap accreditation from The Performance Review Institute for Small Hole, Wire and Conventional EDM. The auditor found no areas of nonconformance. The company also passed its ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 certification surveillance audit earlier this year with no findings, scoring 100% of the points available.
Successful completion of these audit processes is evidence of Wire-Tech’s production quality and control. Many companies in the aerospace industry and beyond require this substantiation for their supplier approval. The company’s quality control software, Continuous Improvement Software (CIS), plays a major role in quality control and improvement and simplifies the audit process. Wire-Tech, Inc. looks forward to even more success with CIS with the development of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) module later this year.
“For twenty-five years, Wire-Tech, Inc. has provided leading-quality EDM services to many industries, including commercial and non-commercial, aerospace, molding and medical. The success of our recent audits showcases our efforts toward continuous improvement.” – Rick Erickson, President and Owner

WIRE-TECH, INC. IN TEMPE ACHIEVES NADCAP ACCREDITATION
Wire-Tech, Inc. in Tempe, Arizona has received the certificate of Nadcap accreditation from The Performance Review Institute for Small Hole, Wire and Conventional EDM. Wire-Tech, Inc. also achieved ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 certifications earlier last year.
Successful completion of these audit processes is evidence of Wire-Tech’s commitment to production quality and control. Many companies in the aerospace industry and beyond require this substantiation for their supplier approval.
Wire-Tech’s use of a revolutionary new software called CIS (Continuous Improvement Software) to implement and maintain their management system was integral in their achievement of these accreditation and certifications.
Both the Nadcap and AS9100 auditors were impressed with the ease of auditing our system due to the ease of navigating our totally paperless system within CIS. We are the first EDM Machining company to use CIS software to manage all aspects of our business including customer feedback, nonconformity, training, vendor evaluation and analysis of data; virtually every requirement of AS9100 is addressed in this software.
“Wire-Tech, Inc. will continue to make precision components and tooling for all the industries that have been faithful to us for the last 24 years, including commercial and non-commercial, aerospace, molding and medical.” – Rick Erickson, President and Owner

To: CIS
As an owner of a Semiconductor Assembly company, I have dreaded for over 5 years the day I would have to put in place a program for obtaining our ISO certification. Two simple reasons, (1) Cost of manpower to implement a system that by most consultants advice is paperwork heavy and didn’t make sense for a Lean and Fast moving Service Company. After many meetings with customers that implemented an ISO program we opted for achieving what we called ISO compliant, Not Certified. (2) After numerous meetings with many consultants over the last two years we were quoted outrages costs for their services plus the actual Auditors cost, which totaled in excess of $40K and some exceeded $50K. Our unique services allowed our company to do business the past 5 years with Fortune Five Hundred companies both commercial and military applications. Our General Manager, Keith Dungan would always comment, “For $50K we can purchase production equipment to be more productive, not a paperwork nightmare”. This scenario has been in existence up until our introduction to CIS just 3 months ago.
Advotech was introduced to CIS through a member of a technical group we were affiliated with. Like all business, you sometimes just know when something is right and you say, “Lets go for it”. Our first meeting with Bretta Kelly, President of BMSC, LLC consulting got our attention real quick when she stated, “This is not rocket science and you don’t need to purchase the rocket”. After our first meeting it was clear we were going for it with confidence. Although somewhat reluctant, our General Manager, Keith Dungan decided to give it a go and see if this software could be used as effective as his Lean paperwork system that he was so proud of. From my point of view, it turns out to be one of my better decisions to trust a new system that is truly cost effective in running a manufacturing /service company. Personally, I tell all my business friends what we are doing and how all our employees have grasped the system with enthusiasm. With confidence I know Advotech will be ISO Certified by September of this year at a cost that will still allow us to purchase the equipment Keith still wants and I can get some golfing in my schedule.

Keith Dungan, General Manager further commented…
One item that George pointed out in his testimonial that stands out to me was that I was reluctant to implement yet another system. Over the last 8 years I have been employed at Advotech, we had excelled in implementing many successful programs that covered everything from Purchasing, Machine Calibration tracking, Asset Management, Job Tracking and Employee Communication. All of these systems worked very well individually, however that in itself was a problem. They were all individual systems and were not interconnected. The thought of implementing CIS, as an ISO stand-alone system was to be honest, stomach churning. Our management team, lead by George’s encouragement, made the collective decision to proceed.
Within the first four hours of exploring CIS, I was hooked. We were immediately able to implement all our individual programs into CIS and with little to no transition issues. Purchase Requests, Job Tracking and Asset Management, which were previously coordinated through limited simple databases are now operating flawlessly and we now have added features such as e-mail alerts and inspections panels at our fingertips. Our employee communication program (that was previously all manual) has improved ten fold. We lacked programs for some ISO tracking requirements such as Customer Feedback and Non-Conformity Reports and with CIS these were implemented almost immediately. This saved us an incredible amount of time and money.
Anyone that knows me would probably tell you that I am pretty much skeptical of everything. Basically prove it to me first then I’ll believe it. Management people today are constantly bombarded with all sorts of products, programs and gimmicks that will improve your business. I’ve found that very few really do. Take it from an eternal skeptic, ”CIS is the exception.” I frankly cannot image going back to our old ways.

Hi Peter,
I LOVE The Learning Center in CIS! It is extremely helpful and leaves no room for the “I don’t know how to use it” syndromes that many employees sometimes get. I especially love that it caters to different types of preferred learning through the options of viewing and listening to seminars to following screen shots. Overall it’s a wonderful learning tool and great reference point to have on hand at all times. Thanks for continually improving your system and making it even more user friendly! P.S. Put this in your Customer Feedback section! ;o)
Sincerely,
Lisa Hull CRD Manager The Grimes Companies

I operate a small internationally based startup company based in Hawaii. Our primary product is bottled drinking water and I currently have fifteen employees. So why have I invested in Continuous Improvement Software (CIS) and the implementation of Total Quality Management Services at this early point of the company growth?
We make decisions every day that effect a myriad of things, some small and some large. The decision to implement CIS affects everything that you will do today, tomorrow, and the rest of your business career. If you operate a business, do not hesitate, CIS is the competitive advantage. Be the benchmark in your industry!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Saddle Creek Announces Plans for ISO Certification
Lakeland, Fla., Oct. 24, 2006 ¾ Saddle Creek Corp., a third-party logistics services company, announced that it is formalizing the company’s commitment to service by beginning the ISO 9001:2000 certification process. Saddle Creek’s Lakeland, Fla. headquarters campus will be the first of its locations to be certified. Saddle Creek provides warehousing, transportation, packaging and integrated logistics services to its customers in a variety of industries nationwide.
The company decided to start the certification process as a way to further assure customers of its commitment to quality and continuous improvement. “We are continually expanding and enhancing the services we provide for our customers,” said Brandi Metz, Saddle Creek ISO facilitator. “ISO certification is the natural next step from our current internal quality program. By identifying processes that can be improved and finding ways to prevent errors, it will help us deliver even better service to our customers – everything from increased inventory control to improved on-time delivery rates.”
Saddle Creek will work with Total Quality Management Systems, Inc. (TQMS), employing the company’s Continuous Improvement Software (CIS), training, and documentation for a “paperless” quality management system. The software will allow Saddle Creek to capture information on errors, customer feedback and opportunities for improvement, and provide automatic reports, charts and graphs to show improved performance.
The certification process kicks off this month. Documentation and initial training are already complete, and the internal audit program will begin – reviewing processes, looking for compliance and opportunities to improve. The external registration audit will take place in December with the help of Moody International, Inc.
Saddle Creek will adhere to the international standard’s requirements for an organization’s quality management system, focusing on a range of topics, including the company’s top management commitment to quality, its customer focus, the adequacy of its resources, and more. As part of the certification process, Saddle Creek must also monitor customer perceptions about the quality of its goods and services.
“It’s our mission at Saddle Creek to provide 3rd Party 1st Class logistics solutions for our customers,” said Bruce Abels, president of Saddle Creek Corp. “Becoming certified to the ISO 9001:2000 standards throughout our organization will give us the right tools to deliver that promise. It assures our customers that Saddle Creek can consistently provide goods and services that meet – or even surpass – their needs and expectations.”
Saddle Creek will soon select the next campus to begin implementing ISO 9001:2000 certification. The company has facilities and capabilities in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, California, New Jersey, and Illinois.
